Amethysts are brilliant stones no matter the cut, thanks to their close to perfect surface with most inclusions only visible under a microscope. These gems range from a reddish purple to lighter shades of lavender that can be set into any style of jewelry.

This particular stone is the root of many legends. Not only is it gorgeous, but it is also believed to make the wearer more intelligent and rid evil thoughts. Large deposits discovered in Brazil were named Amethystos meaning “not drunk” because the gemstone was thought to prevent intoxication. Additionally, St. Valentine, the man famous for romance and love, wore an Amethyst ring carved with Cupid’s likeness. What better symbol of love for your sweetie than a unique piece of jewelry featuring the same stone that adorned St. Valentine?

These beautiful stones can be found throughout history in many crown jewels, the Bishop’s rings in the Catholic Church, or the 400-pound gem at the Smithsonian. Aside from all this incredible history, the most important fact for us is...Amethyst is simply BEAUTIFUL.
